What are Eyelash Extensions?
No. Eyelash extensions should not hurt at all. IF you ever feel any discomfort or pain, you need to notifiy your lash artist immediately.
There are some cases where allergies or irritiaions may occur to the products that are being used. Should this happen, please let your lash artist know immediaely.

How long do Eyelash Extensions last?
Eyelash Extensions can last up to 6 weeks. They begin to loose their full appearance around week 2-4 due to the natural lash shedding that may occur during our natural hair growth cycle. This is why fills every 2-3 weeks is required to maintain the appearance of full lashes.

What is the upkeep for Eyelash Extensions?
Regularly schedueld fills every 2-3 weeks is required for lash maintenance.
During fills, lashes that have naturally shed or fallen out are replaced. Eyelash Extensions that are outgrown are also removed and replaced.

Do Eyelash Extensions ruin my natural lashes?
No. When properly applied and maintained, Eyelash Extensions do not ruin the natural lashes.
It is completly normal to notice your natural lash attached to an extension if you catch it falling out. That is due to your natrual hair growth cycle coming to an end. HOWEVER, you should only notice one (1) natural lash attached to the extension. If you notice more than 1, please notify your lash artist immediately.

Can I wear makeup with Eyelash Extensions?
Makeup can be work with eyelash extensions. However, you will want to avoid makeup around the eyes that are:
- Waterproof
- Contains oil
Avoid mascara at all cost.

How should I prepare for my appointment?
- Avoid caffine the morning of your appointment to prevent jittery eyes during the appointment
- Make sure you have freshly cleaned lashes to help the appointment move smoothly
- Silence your phone once you have arrived to avoid any distractions during your appointment
- I listen to different types of music all the time, feel free to bring some headphones to listen to your own tunes or podcasts.

Permanent Makeup/Microblading:

What is Microblading?
Microblading is the process of infusing pigment into the skin to simulate the appearance of natural hair. It is considered a tattoo, and permanent makeup. Although it is considered permanent makeup, it fades over time. Touchups are suggested once a year in order to keep the color fresh and shape precise.
Microblading is meant to be a subtle natural look enhancement, and to create fuller more beautiful brows. It looks most natural on clients who already have semi full brow hair, and are wanting to perfect their shape. The more hair you have, the more natural it will appear.
Microblading heals best on young, healthy, and dry/normal skin.
This service is not reccommended for oily or aging/thin skin. It will not heal well or look very natural. If you are in this catogory, you would be a better candidate for a Powder Brow or Combo Brow.

What is Powder Brow or Combo Brow?
Powder Brow is when you use a maching to infuse pigment into the skin to simulate the appearance of filled in brows. This service is a great look for ALL skin types and heals very soft and beautiful.
A combo brow is a mixture of hair strokes done mostly at the front of the brow and a filled in finish towards the middle and end of the brow.

How long will the service last?
Cosmetic tattooing is designed to fade over time. Factors such as skin type, lifestyle, age, metabolism, medications, and pigment color affect the longevity of the tattoo.
The sun and some kinds of lighting (tanning beds) can affect the rate at which these pigments are broken down. To take care of your brows follow the aftercare instructions and touch-up your brows every 12-18 months (as needed). Touch-ups are normal and expected for Permanent Cosmetics.
*Please note that final results vary and CANNOT be guaranteed due to the nature of skin as it heals. A follow-up appointment is recommended at 4-8 weeks where we can assess your pigment retention and make any changes necessary.*

Does it hurt?
Please keep in mind, this is a procdure similar to a tattoo being done to your face. However, to help alleviate pain, a topical 5% Lidocaine or Epinephrine is used to make you comfortable during your Semi-Permanent Cosmetic procedure, however pain tolerance varies from client to client. Having the procedure during your menstrual cycle may increase your sensitivity.

How long does the service take?
This procdure can take anywhere from 2.5 - 3 hours.
Touch ups can take up to 2 hours.

You CANNOT have this service done if you:
- Are Pregnant/breastfeeding
- Are currently using Accutane or have used Accutane within the past year
- Have a freshly tanned/sunburned face
- Are on blood thinning medications or antibiotics
- Have Rosacea
- Are currently undergoing cancer treatment
- Must be off Chemo or Radiation for 6 months

How should I prepare for my appointment?
- If you have reference pictures, please feel free to bring these to your appointment. Along with the pencil or powder you are currently using.
- If you tint your brows you will want to do so 72 hours before your appointment.
- You must not use Retin-A near the brow area 2 weeks before or after the procedure.
- You will need to avoid water for 7 -10 days after! This includes excessive sweating, pools, lakes, salt water, and extreme sun exposure, so plan your vacations accordingly!
- No Botox, fillers, Microdermabrasion, chemical peels or anything of the like for at least 2 weeks prior to your procedure, and also two weeks after.

Is there anything I should avoid before my appointment?
- Do not work out the day of your appointment.
- You should not take any medications that may thin your blood (i.e. Aspirin, Ibproferen) 72 hours before or immediately after your procedure.
- Do not drink alcohol within 24 hours of your procedure.
- Avoid caffeine for 12 hours before your procedure. (Caffeine increases blood flow and will effect your healed results).

What are some factors that may affect my results?
- Oily Skin: Increased oil production can cause hairstrokes to blur and heal lighter and powdery.
- Smoking: Smokers may notice that their Semi-Permanent Cosmetics will fade faster.
- Anemia and iron deficiency: Your body will absorb these iron based pigments more quickly.
- Sun exposure: Increased exposure to the sun will cause premature fading. You will want to use a special sunscreen for your Semi-Permanent Cosmetics; I recommend Color Guard. You can find it on Amazon.
- Age and metabolism. The Faster your metabolism the faster the pigment will fade.
- Bleeding during the procedure: Excessive bleeding during your procedure will greatly affect how your body retains pigment. While this is not entirely in our control, it is important that you follow before care instructions to help minimize bleeding. This includes avoiding blood thinning medications, alcohol, and caffeine 24 hours before your procedure.

What should I expect immediately after my appointment?
In the hours following your procedure your brows will appear much darker and bolder than it will heal due to oxidation in the surface layer of your skin. Your brows could also appear warmer in color. You may experience some redness or swelling around the treated area, this typically disappears within 48 hours.
Around day 3 you may notice some flaking or light scabbing on the treated area, DO NOT PICK AT IT, doing so can result in loss of pigment in those areas. Brows may appear spotty or patchy until the entire brow has finished healing. You may notice that some areas may appear very light or even to have lost pigment entirely after they have peeled, the epidermis will be thicker causing muting, hiding or diffusing of pigment underneath.
The epidermis will normalize over the next 4-6 weeks and softened pigment should appear more clearly on surface of the skin.
At 4-6 weeks your brows will be fully healed. Whatever pigment that does not return will be addressed at your touch up appointment or if you would prefer darker, bolder brows we can always add more color or dimension during that appointment!

I have had my brows done before. Do you work over previously done brows?
I require that anyone who has had their brows tattooed previously by another artist text me a picture before booking an appointment. This way we can discuss price, your options and schedule sufficient time. Any client coming to me from a different artist is considered a new client, with full prices.

Teeth Whitening:​
​
Can all teeth be whitened?
No. When the inner structure of the tooth becomes darker or yellowed, the stain is more difficult to remove or, depending on its cause, may not be able to be removed at all. Here are some examples:
- Tetracycline (an antibiotic) causes intrinsic (meaning that it affects the inner structure of the tooth) staining, when used by children under age 8 or women in the last half of their pregnancy. These stains cannot be removed by bleaching.
- Fluorosis, a cosmetic dental condition that results from overexposure to fluoride during tooth development, also is not always successfully removed by bleaching. Mild to moderate fluorosis, characterized by lines, streaks or spots, can be made less obvious by using whitening products or methods. However, in more severe cases of fluorosis, bleaching will not work.
- A third type of stain is called "age-related." It's a combination of intrinsic and extrinsic factors. As we age, the dentin (the inner portion of the tooth) gets slightly yellow. This can become visible through the outer enamel as it gradually becomes thinner over time. Yellow stains are the easiest to remove with bleaching. Gray or black stains tend to be more difficult. Generally, stains that are newly formed are easier to remove than older stains.
- Artificial dental work such as crowns, bonding, caps, veneers, bridges or composite fillings will also NOT respond to bleaching. Teeth whitening gel will only whiten natural, live teeth. Artificial teeth will not be whitened, but they won't be damaged by the peroxide.

You should NOT get teeth whitening if:
- Pregnant or lactating women
- People with poor enamel or decalcification caused by excessive use of fluorides.
- People with periodontal disease including gingivitis or gums in poor condition
- People who wear braces or who had their braces removed less than 6 months ago
- People who recently had oral surgery
- People with decaying teeth or exposed roots
- People with open cavities
- People with a history of allergic reactions to peroxide products
- People with silver fillings in, near or behind the front teeth

How often can teeth be whitened?
It is recommended that you do a double or triple treatment for your firt time getting your teeth whitened. After that, it is recommended hat you get a touch-up treatment every 2-6 months.

Does teeth whitening cause sensitivity?
Tooth sensitivity is extremely rare when using our gels. Mild tissue (gum) irritation may occur during the whitening process. The discomfort typically subsides shortly after finishing the treatment.

How long do the results last?
The length of time the results last depends on a person’s consumption of staining beverages and foods. For example coffee, tea, red wine, colas and other darkening agents such as tobacco, can cause a relapse. It also depends on the customer's quality of enamel. Those who have porous enamel will be more vulnerable to staining beverages and food. Generally one can say between six months and one year.

Tooth Gems:
​
Does applying the tooth gems hurt?
Not at all. The procedure is similar to placing an orthodontic bracket (braces) on a tooth. There is no drilling involved and the procedure is completely painless.

How long does this service take?
The application procedure takes about 20 minutes based on the amount of gems chosed to be placed during your appointment.

Will I feel the tooth gem?
Initially something on your tooth will feel different, but a few days after the application you will get used to the new feeling.

How long does the tooth gem last?
A tooth jewel applied according appropriately on a natural tooth will stay on until you decide to have it removed by your dental professional. There may be outside factors that can result in the gem falling off prematurely, such as:
-Not following aftercare
-Your daily oral hygiene routine
-The current state of your natrual tooth enamel

How do I care for my tooth gem?
Our tooth jewelry is 100% reversible. The procedure is the same as attaching an orthodontic bracket (braces). Therefore a dental professional must remove the tooth gem. The tooth will be buffed and polished to remove any remaining bonding material.

Will it ruin my teeth?
When properly placed on a natural tooth, the tooth jewelry will not damage or harm your tooth in any way.

Does a tooth gem obstruct regular brushing?
No, the presence of the tooth crystal will not make any difference regarding dental hygiene. However, it is recommended not to use an electric tooth brush for the first 24 hours after the jewel has been attached.

What if it falls off and I swallow it?
Our crystals have no sharp edges. It will basically come out “the natural way.”

Can I still have my teeth cleaned by my dentist?
Yes. You can, and should still have your teeth cleaned by a dental professional. Our tooth jewelry will not cause a problem for the hygienist cleaning your teeth. The area underneath the jewel is sealed like a filling and will not let in any bacteria. The hygienist can easily polish on top and around the jewel.
